My name is John C.M.Wood and I am an artist primarily interested in art from the mediaeval period, especially Hiberno-Celtic, English and French manuscripts from about 500AD up until circa 1325.AD. Furthermore, I am also immensely interested in the International Gothic style as typified by the works of the Venetian artist Carlo Crivelli.

About

This is a reproduction of a Tigris from the Aberdeen Bestiary which, despite its Caledonian name, is very much an English manuscript..

Take Action

A Mouse in a Hollow Apple is one of my many original card designs which are inspired by the sometimes ordinary and often fantastical creatures to be found in Mediaeval Bestiaries.
